War Games?

FP8BXAH66JTU
War Games? This is what it should not be. Timetables? We should have none right now.

"I told you so on yesterday's post."

I sat and watched Obama's entire speech last night and not once did he mention the word VICTORY or anything close to that. Why? Because again Obama read his teleprompter flawlessly but he could not come to terms with himself and upset the political fringe on the left. They own him. As a Conservative blogger I will call him out on this time and time again.

As I mentioned yesterday we cannot win a war if we are not fully committed to it and instead are worried about a timetable for withdrawal. For heavens sake how do we expect to gain the support of the locals there when the message sent to them was that if we do not take care of business quickly we will cut and run. Who in their right mind is going to turn on the Taliban knowing that as soon as our troops leave they will pay the consequences.

Obama set a timetable of 18 months. In other words General McChrystal get it done quickly or we are coming home. He did mention that he would re-evaluate the situation on the ground and make an assessment then. We all know how long he took in picking his White House pet. I had the same feeling this past weekend when my wife sent me out to buy the Holiday turkey. The point is that winning should be the word of the day and not these timetables to keep the fringe left on board.

This timetable issue is not only on the minds of the locals but also on the minds of our allies. Why commit their men and women when this President is not committed to winning this war. What do they tell their constituents?

Listen I support the President for making this most difficult decision of sending our men and women into harms way but he did not have to mention any type of timetable for withdrawal. The Taliban can hide in the weeds for some time and wait us out. We cannot keep taking three steps forward and two steps back.
The passion has to be there as it was with President Bush. I do not see that same passion with this current administration. God Bless Our Troops.
Please feel free to comment and tell me, where I'm I wrong?

Obama: 30,000 More Troops to Afghanistan by Summer

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Declaring "our security is at stake," President Barack Obama ordered an additional 30,000 U.S. troops into the long war in Afghanistan on Tuesday night, but balanced the buildup with a pledge to an impatient nation to begin withdrawing American forces in 18 months.
In a prime-time speech at the U.S. Military Academy, the president said his new policy was designed to "bring this war to a successful conclusion." The troop buildup will begin almost immediately — the first Marines will be in place by Christmas — and will cost $30 billion for the first year alone.

Obama's address at West Point

Readers let me know what you thought about his speech tonight. The floor is open for you guys to comment. I am sure whatever you have to say will be very interesting.

Failure in our Justice System once again...

Huckabee? This man is a phony. Thanks to him John McCain won the Republican primary for President. Mitt Romney with Sarah Palin on the ticket would have stormed into the White House. If he would have dropped out (anyone with some decency would have)  we would have had an experienced, energetic and very promising ticket. Instead what did we get thanks to Huckabee? An old and boring candidate with no drive at all in McCain. The crowds were there only because Palin inspired them. But no, Romney was a mormon. Folks I was voting for a President and not a Pastor. I am an Evangelical Christian and already have a wonderful Pastor in my life. So what did he get after all of this? A TV Show...one that I promised myself I would NEVER watch.

Now his name has popped up again.
Huckabee man up and stop blaming others. The Pulaski County Prosecutor's office opposed Clemmon's parole in 2000 and 2004.

Thanks to the failure of our courts and people in government like yourself four of our finest are not going home to their families.

And we are supposed to trust them in bringing the 911 co-CONSPIRATORS to justice.

This is sickening. Please feel free to comment.

Obama to announce troop surge...

Tomorrow night our Commander in Chief Barack Obama is finally going to address the nation on his decision to send more troops to Afghanistan. I guess he has thought it over enough and there is no getting around it. On this one he has been harassed so much by the Conservative coalition that he has finally given in. Like it or not we have forced his hand one more time. Those on the left like MoveOn.org must be fuming right about now. The handling of this situation has been shameful.
He promised HOPE and CHANGE during his entire run for the presidency. Lets us HOPE that CHANGE is finally on it's way for the sake of our BRAVE men and women risking their lives on the battlefield.

This administration must get their priorities straight. We must keep this country safe and on the other hand we must get our economy back on track. This health care debate must take a back seat for the present time. I don't even want to discuss it right now because it is not a priority. What is a priority right now is that we do all that we can to protect our men and women in uniform and defeat this enemy.

Al-Qaeda must be defeated right now. We cannot let Afghanistan become a safe haven for these animals who do not respect human life.

I sure hope that in his address he makes this clear. We must have a winning strategy and nothing less. Our men and women in uniform deserve it. They need to know that this President and all the American People are behind their efforts regardless of political affiliation. I am sick and tired of the blame Bush crowd. We are already there and must do all we can for victory and nothing less.
We cannot leave this place until Afghanistan has a government and a military in place which can defend itself against all evil. I don't want to hear during his speech about an exit strategy or a timetable for victory. We cannot give the enemy the impression that we will cut and run or they will wait us out.

Mr. President I sure HOPE you CHANGE and show some leadership now that we need it most.
